We made our way with some in-town family in-tow to a new spot on Harbor Island to watch some of the Blue Angels show this year. It was a great day for it and, given the low effort need to access this spot, we enjoyed what we saw. More »

July Aurora from Near Mt. Rainier

Heard a bit online that some monster sunspots facing Earth had spewed off a few solar flares that might combine to make for aurora here. I kept an eye on the space weather forecast and my rooftop meteor cams back in Seattle (the first two images) and saw it was happening. More »
